Once there was a guy named Bob. He was single, and he wanted a wife but he still hadn't bothered getting married. He had a very big house, though.
On one dark and stormy night Bob decided to turn the TV on and watch the news. The guy on the news said, "Lightning storms are coming your way." But Bob was tired. He yawned and said, "I'll call it a night." Then he went upstairs, brushed his teeth and went to bed.
Before long, it started to storm. Bob heard a dripping sound. Then it started pouring rain. He saw a flash in the sky. Bob said loudly, Lightning storm!" and he rushed down the stairs.
He suddenly felt warm and started choking. His house was on fire! He got on the floor and reached for the telephone so he could call the firemen. After that he got out of his house safely.
He looked at his burned house with the firemen. The firemen said, "It's going to cost a lot of money to get your house fixed." Bob said, "I'd give the workers all of my money," and he called to get a motel room. It's a good thing his bank was open.
So Bob drove to the motel, but he thought on the way that he won't have anything to wear the next day. He decided to go to the mall first to get some new clothing. Then he paid and kept going to the motel. When he got there, they gave him a key card to get into his room. Bob said, "Wow! This room is fancy!" It's a good thing he had his toothbrush. So he brushed his teeth and went to bed.
The next day he woke up and went into the cafeteria to have breakfast. There were lots of choices for breakfast. In fact, it was a breakfast buffet! Bob got eggs, bacon, toast with butter, and a blueberry muffin. Then he said, "I'm stuffed," and he went back to his room. When he got there, he said, "Where is my key card?" Then he looked in his pocket and said, "Oh, there it is. I'm stupid."
Once he got in to his room, he wanted to watch TV. He saw a really funny show. Ten hours later, it was nighttime. The next day Bob checked out of the motel and went home.
When he got there, he remembered it had burned down. He decided to call the construction workers. Then Bob went to a campsite and set up his camping stuff. He stayed and camped out for five weeks. When he finally went home, Bob found a ship-shape house.
Bob was amazed. He started to cry tears of joy. Bob went into his house and made dinner, then he lived happily ever after.
A Wonderful Journey
Welcome to the world of a child's imagination. In this blog I will post many of the crazy and wonderful stories my nine-year-old son writes or has written in the past, either for school or for pleasure. Creativity runs thick in the blood of this family, and this boy has gotten all the best from both sides of the family.
I enjoy these stories so much that I felt inclined to share them with the world. Many of them will be accompanied by his own illustrations. I hope that you get as much enjoyment out of his content as I. Happy reading!
